    Hi all and Louise!

I'm a long time fan and visitor, first time poster.

I was first bitten by the Louise Cooper bug during high school where the library had an extensive collection of the books. I stopped reading for a bit when I was finishing high school but now I am older (and hopefully a little wiser) I am really getting back into the books again, especially as I'm finding now I understand better the decisions some characters made (ie Indigo's devastating one in Aisling) which I couldn't comprehend in high school.

Alas I'm in Australia where the books are now out of print. I have had a real struggle trying to find them over the past couple of years. However I've had some recent successes. With the falling Australian dollar, I simply can't afford to buy them from Mundania as the books plus shipping blow out of proportion. Having said that, tracking them down has been so much fun!

My books have come from all over the place but I've had so much success at the Lifeline Bookfest in Brisbane. (PS There was one copy of Eclipse, 2 copies of Nemesis and one of The King's Demon still there as of yesterday for any Aussies here...)

Below is the link to a photo of my collection. I have dupilcate copies because some of them are deteriorating and coming to pieces and I have found newer books; especially that old copy of Mirage and the 2 from the Time master. (I'm too scared to even read them) and in the Indigo saga because I didn't want to separate books that clearly came from the same personal collection.

My favourite would have to be The Book of Paradox - I found this in a small bookshop a few months ago! In the past 2 days I have found The King's Demon, Eclipse, Moonset and the newer copy of Mirage. I finished my entire Indigo collection last month when I found the last 2 I was missing - Troika and Avatar in a small bookshop in Hobart, Tasmania.

Thanks Louise for not only writing in such a uniquely different style to other authors out there, but for having THE most original character names ever! (My favourites are Shalune, Calliope and all the names of the Brabazon family)

Your story sound so much like my own it's scary. Out of interest, do you happen to recall the name of the bookshop in Hobart? I've found a few Cooper books in some of them but not many - namely being the Time Master trilogy, The King's Demon and Mirage. Of course, it's the only name I look for when I go into second hand bookshops. Your collection also looks a lot like mine :P maybe I'll post my collection later.

    Hi there Storm

    The store in Hobart was
Rapid Eye Books 36 Sandy Bay Rd Battery Point TAS 7004

They still had 2 books from Indigo in December 2008. Yup, our stories sound similar - I go obsessively into 2nd hand bookshops and stare around the 'C' shelves...

Hope you can track them all down!

    Cheers.

Ah, yes, I know Rapid Eye. Hobart has a few very decent second hand bookshops. The best one I found was the Imperial Bookshop, in the Imprial Arcade, off Collins Street (for your next visit :P). It's so chock-a-block full of books that it's hard to maneouver in there, and I often see Time Master books (not often the complete trilogy, though) and sometimes a random stand-alone.

I just wanted to post an update. Since Louise's passing, it's been strange but I have had incredible luck finding the books I have not been able to search for. (By the way thanks Storm, I finally found Imperial Bookshop tucked away and found 2 of Louise's books I wanted). I was most excited when I finally found Star Ascendant by itself in a bookshop in Brisbane. It completes my Star Shadow trilogy.

I'll post a new photo link soon, I am travelling between QLD and TAS so my collection is scattered between two houses.

Today I've had great success in Brisbane, finally tracking down the two books that have definitely been elusive: Our Lady of The Snow and The Summer Witch.

Once again, my condolences to Louise's family and friends...she is also greatly missed by her fans.
