Hi,

I live in the Shetland Islands. Which is in the UK.

Has anybody heard of it? Or is anybody a fan of the music?
I play the fiddle (violin), the piano, and the acordian.

At school, on Parents Evenings or such like, I sometimes get asked to go on stage and play tunes.

Hello there, apologies if this post is misplaced but I know this site was a great source of information when I was looking for a number of out-of-print Louise Cooper books.
I'm soon to be moving house and reluctantly having to clear out a lot of space - I've got many Louise Cooper books that I have duplicate copies of and that I'd like to sell on to a good home (including 2 copies of Lord of No Time). If anyone is interested please email me at mintycookie@hotmail.com

Sacrament of Night is now available on Mundania - bought the eBook the moment I saw it. What a wonderful story... so beautifully crafted against an incredibly woven tapestry of worlds. I have never read this book of Louise's before... and now more than ever, I look forward eagerly to any other releases of Louise's books from Mundania, and mourn that we will never get to read more new books from this incredible woman. Louise, you are very much missed.

I just did a check on Ebay and see two on there, both in the UK, long way from Aust. I will perhaps check around else where or perhaps in time an eBook version will appear here. I do prefer legitimate purchases and only made reference to what my searching had revealed.

Thanks for the information

The e-book was published in November 2005 by Dancing Mackerel (Louise & Cas's own imprint) @ £7.50, and was available from Louise's website until around April 2008, when a New edition was announced. When I saw Louise last June she said the new edition was 'ready to go', but since her sudden loss I assume Cas has put everything on hold for now. It certainly isn't 'free' and any sites offering it as such are in breach of copyright.
You can still get second-hand copies of the original paperback (Sphere, 1977) from Ebay, Amazon, etc.

I had heard this was available on the website as a eBook but there is no trace of it? Googling for it shows it available from a lot of dodgy sites and some saying it is free, so I guess a little help thanks? I like to see where the beginnings of the Time Master series originated from.

Thanks in advance..

As I was in glorious sunny Cornwall last week, I happened by chance to meet Cas, Louise's husband.I had to admit I did not know of Louise but have now looked her up and see what a marvellous following she has.
Saddened that such a talented and personable person should leave us at such an early age. Next job is to get to the bookstore and start reading.
Thanks for the chat,Cas. Nice meeting you in the alley way!! Maybe see you in April when I am down again. Jan

Louise actually cared about her fans. It was such an honour to be able to communicate with her. I have never seen such talent, and I doubt I ever will again. I will miss her greatly.

I just wanted to say how very sad I was to hear the news of Louise passing away. I have not really been a participant in this web site, but I always stop by to read everyones comments. The Time Master Trilogy have been my favourite set of books for about 14 years now and I have read and re-read them. Thank you so much to Louise for being such an important part of my literary life. I send my condolences to her family and friends. It is very rare to see an author leaving so many warm and friendly comments to fans on a web site - this is ovbiously a reflection on what an open and kind person she was. It is no wonder that she is missed so much by her fans as they feel they have lost a friend as well as a favourite author. I will pass my books on to my children one day, and Louise will live on in the imaginations of many generations to come, I am sure.

Louise had given me such a great gift in my life with such few words. She was such a massive inspiration and a beacon of hope for me. I had never met someone so giving and warm-hearted as Louise. I´m still reeling at the world´s loss of her presence.
My love and deepest condolences for her family; people so lucky and blessed to her a great author in their lives.

I just wanted to post an update. Since Louise's passing, it's been strange but I have had incredible luck finding the books I have not been able to search for. (By the way thanks Storm, I finally found Imperial Bookshop tucked away and found 2 of Louise's books I wanted). I was most excited when I finally found Star Ascendant by itself in a bookshop in Brisbane. It completes my Star Shadow trilogy.

I'll post a new photo link soon, I am travelling between QLD and TAS so my collection is scattered between two houses.

Today I've had great success in Brisbane, finally tracking down the two books that have definitely been elusive: Our Lady of The Snow and The Summer Witch.

http://flickr.com/gp/mengzhu/J78k2j This is my Brisbane Collection

Once again, my condolences to Louise's family and friends...she is also greatly missed by her fans.

Louise Cooper's books are wonderful, old friends, and I will always treasure the tales she told. The Time Master and Chaos Gate trilogies have been my favourite stories for many years, read and reread many times. With deepest sympathies to her family.

Just read about her passing on the BBC News Website. My sympathies go out to her family and friends. I remember reading her Time Master books 20 twenty years ago and then picking up and reading her Indigo series. I'm sorry to say I haven't been keeping up on all the books she has written since Indigo.

As of late, I've been thinking of going back and re-reading the Time Master and Indigo books. Now I feel I must do it in remembrance of her.

I fell for the Time Master books when a teenager. Twenty-some years later, I still go back to them. Those old Unwin paperbacks (with the Robert Gould covers) are old friends. Comfortable, but they still delight me. I had the good fortune to exchange letters with Louise during my University days. She was a generous and kind lady.

The world feels dimmer now I know she's gone.

Rest well, Louise.
